Political dynasties in the PI are weak. Several times now, PEOPLE POWER has removed the most powerful men in office in the EDSA rebellion and EDSA II.

The Philippines has been a US client state since the Spanish-American war and as such they are not masters of their own destiny. Dependence is its own punishment.
