y=mx+b

known slope m=13/8
need to find intercept (b)

substitute values of x and y into the equation
8=(13/8)(4) +b
8-13/2=b
16/2-13/2=b = 3/2

y=13/8x+3/2

y - b = m (x - a)

y - 8 = (13/8).(x - 4)

y = (13/8)(x - 4) + 8
y = (13/8)x - 13/2 + 8
y = (13/8)x + 3/2

formulation for slope is m = (Y2 - Y1) / (X2 -X1) Given factors (-7, -2) = (X1,Y1) (-4,-3) =(X2 , Y2) m = -a million/3 and the equation is y = mx + c taking factors (-4 , -3) -3 = (-a million/3) (- 4) +c c= -13/3 y=mx +c putting m and c we get equation for the line y=(-a million/3)x -13/3

y-8=13/8 (x-4)

8(y-8)= 13(x-4)
8y-64= 13x-52
8y=13x-52+64
8y=13x+12

Therefore, y= 13x/8 + 1.5
or y= 13x/8 +3/2

y-8=13/8(x-4)
y-8=13/8x-13/2
y-3/2=13/8x
13/8x-y+3/2=0
13x-8y=-12
