Try bird watching. Just put up some different types of feeders all with different types of feed. See what you come up with

collect the following
Coins
dishes
baseball cards
rocks (line a flower bed with them)
leaves

Collecting rocks is a cheat hobby, the rocks are just laying around all over the ground.

try collecting ball point pens. there is such a wide range. i used to but lost interest cos i kept losing them
