They have 1 heart. They have two atria, but only one ventricle. If you know how the human heart works, the division between our two ventricles prevents oxygen rich and oxygen poor blood from mixing. In reptiles these mix because there is no division.

No it is not that, instead ......ok, i'll give you an example.
We say that humans have a 4-chambered heart i.e. the heart is divided into 4 chambers viz. left auricle, right auricle, left ventricle and the right ventricle. Similarily, reptiles except of crocodiles and alligators have a 3-chambered heart, while they have a 3-chambered one. The divisions in them are auricle, left ventricle and the right ventricle.

they only have one heart, but within their heart they have 3 chambers. we humans have a 4-chambered heart.
