Yes this is common in a 14 year-old. Your parents will seem to make too obvious comments and get annoying. They're ability to keep on top of things is ultra annoying sometimes. It's normal. Mom's just doing what she's supposed to do and it's simply annoying. Welcome to the world.

oh honey... Yes absolutely. When I was 14 me and my mother couldn't be in the same room with eachother for more than ten minutes without fighting and yelling. It got so bad that the day I turned 18 I had to move out to prevent other fights. We just never got along. It is just a phase. I still don't get along with my mom that much, but she is my mom and I love her still. Sometimes you just need a minute to breath and think about what is happening.

Yes it is and it has a name to. Puberty....
Don't worry it's just your hormones playing tricks with your head. Mom isn't turning into the three headed monster and neither are you.

It's a very normal part of growing up, just try to remember that it is not anyones fault and give mom what she wants now and then. She really does mean wel and think about it, here is her daugther/son all of a sudden changing on her and making it look like nothing she does is right. That's not very easy to handle don't you think?
So enjoy puberty .... just make sure that mom can to now and then.

No, but it's normal for a 14-year-old to not know the difference between their and there.

Oh, absolutey! Even in the closest of mother-daughter relationships, the teenage years are always. . . well, as you're finding out. Just as you are discovering yourself, she has to adjust her own mommy meter between wanting to protect you from everything and wanting to let you blossom and have your own experiences. Goodluck to the two of you.

From the beginning of civilisation the feud between mothers and their teenage girls has been going on, with no real hard feelings meant. Don't irritate her, if you can and you will get along famously.

I'm 26 and I still get frustrated with my mom. I don't think it's normal for children to get along with their parents.

Yup - it's normal.

That dose not make it OK - but it is normal.

Try to be the adult in the situation - you know she is not going to be.
