Factors helping India -
The best indian team going for the World Cup after the 1983 Presidential Cup. India has found good openers in Ganguly and Uthappa, with Sehwag in there too. Yuvraj, Dravid, Dhoni and Tendulkar steady the middle order to form one of the best middle order batting. Lower middle order of Kumble, Harbhajan, Zaheer can hit a few runs too.
As on bowling - Zaheer and Sreesanth/Munaf Patel will be opening and are not as bad. Kumble, Harbhajan and Sachin - Sehwag can bowl many spin overs between them. That leaves one guy extra. He can be employed as a strike bowler - Irfan/Sreesanth or Dinesh Kaarthick as the 11th guy. Irfan can bat as well.

It is a very powerful batting line-up, and make take a beating on their bowling lineup.
Quality Fielders are in plenty - Yuvraj, Uthappa, Sachin, Kaarthick. Fielders like Munaf Patel will have to be hided on the field.

There are all winning chances for India. India will reach the semi-finals for sure.

Our team indulges more in advertisements that in nets but if one or two players are practicing we cannot say that the whole Indian team is practicing.Our indian team is lacking practice and time on the feild.Cricket is like maths which can only be overcomed practice.

Sportsman spirit, batting problem and a lack of nice coach are leading Indian team to lose. Chapell isn't OK! and nice means nice like John Right, the previous coach.

In middle order we have to insert Kaif and remove Utthapa from opening. In that case, openers will be Sachin & Sourav. Then Dravid and then Sehwag, followed by Yuvraj, Dhoni, Kaif, Pathan, Kumble, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel and Sreesanth. This should be the batting line up.

Sportsman spirit means the will and sportsman from within to enjoy whether winning or losing and trying your best. India's takin' that very lightly.

Nothing..why is it that Indian team wins back to back one day series against two of the most competitive nations, and yet we keep thinking they lack sumthing, and yes the do lack something, and you know whats that. they lack ur faith in them, they lack the support even after performing, the lack the Indian so called fans, who are too damn pessimistic even too have faith in their own countrymen. Our India team is a great allrounder team. Just the little mistake of some of the players could be harmful. The fielding of the players has to be improved upon. The bowling area is good & the batting area is just OK.

india team is lacking aggression. India has the most powerful batting lineup but lack in fielding department. Also, there is lack of all rounder. Pathan has struggled in the past matches.

They lack consistency, they have to improve all-round. I think it would be better for their younger players to start playing class cricket. They can't rely on guys like Dravid, Tendulkar, and Ganguly, these guys have had their days and given all for their country. The new players are the future if Indian cricket and they have to improve.

yes, confidence and some times some players paly selfish game and never think about the team, even a senior player does not play well for 10 matches , if he hit one hundred in 10 matches, he will retain his place unless he is injured or he says himself not fit.... it is the great tragedy of team...
if we take oz(australia) if their key players or senior players do not show their performance next match the team management will keep them out.. so that they are winner, we are runners...

but let us hope this will change atleast in the upcoming WC
