De-Magetize items when walking through sensors like at walmart?

What are different ways to do it? I have heard of wrapping something in foil, but i dont know if that works. Other then taking the sticky magnetic strip off, how else would someone go about doing that?

I've heard they won't go off if you hold your breath while walking through the uprights.

Why do that? Obviously you know it is stealing...You should stay out of stores man..
