$$$$ does your family sell things of no use to eachother $$$$$?

i understand there is a limit to what you would sell to your family like cars and real stuff of value but junk worth $50 to $100 they sell to eachother i come from a background where if you can help a family member out with giving them something you dont miss them why not. does anyone feel the same way?
