I have total sympathy for Leeds fans. What an absolute travesty occured there. After some truly wonderful seasons, like the 73-74 Championship campaign, that included a 29 match unbeaten run, right out of the gate. Liverpool eventually brought them to ground at Anfield, winning 1-0, in what was a cracker of a match. Leeds has given us some fantastic performances down through the years. I always looked forward to their arrival at Anfield, any time it was on the cards. But I saw the writing on the wall during the telecast of the home match v Leicester City the year before the big drop. Leeds were leading two nil, and with minutes to go, City struck twice, and was seeking a third, in what should have been a very easy and decisive Leeds result. City were fighting against relegation, Leeds was seeking Europe once more. I thought at the whistle, "how did you blow that?" And then the immediate thought followed, " Leeds is in trouble". From that game on, it was obvious they were in turmoil, both on and off the field. I can only imagine how gutted and betrayed the Leeds fans must feel, as they watched in utter disbelief, their beloved team implode. And now they have to endure a further indignity of another relegation, that they truly do not deserve, and you ask if it will be joyous? Not for anyone that loves football, and has witnessed what is really criminal behaviour on the part of previous directors, who brought low, through greed and poor management, a Great Team. We can all look at Leeds and see the signs that will show each of us that our teams are on a downward spiral and be able to react to it before it becomes an irreversible slide into administration and heartbreak.

Bein an oldham fan I don't think it will (unless we replace them in l The Championship). They were in trouble as soon as Captain Birdseye became their chairman. No team has ever gone forward under Ken Bates, look at Chelsea, he payed one pound for them and only sold for a profit because of a certain Russian billionaire. Fair play, he took them over when they were in debt, but left them about a hundred million in debt, with not a great deal spent on players! (you chelsea fans will remember the glory days of Mark Stein and Frank Sinclair!!!).

The problem is Leeds are now on a downward spiral, and they have no money to spend. Obviously, in the most recent glory days they were filling the ground, and boasting some of the most loyal supporters in the country, so where have they gone?

I have to say, it won't be a joyous day, but it would appear inevitable that they will be relegated, watch this space!! Ken Bates will have gone next year, insulting all of fans in the process most probably, or trying to take the club to court for unpaid "earnings".

But, bein an oldham fan, it would be nice to go to Elland Road next season, I'll just need to dust off my stab jacket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It definately won't be, just because a team is not a team you like doesn't mean they deserve that.

Leeds in particular, who used to dominate and have such history, shouldn't go down. in the same way if in 20 odd years man utd went down, i'm sure people would be happy but it should be a sad day in football history.

I feel sorry for the fans..it's always the fans that suffer. I don't feel sorry for Dennis the Menace or the players. Dennis Wise broke Callum Davidsons jaw when they were both at Leicester. The players will just move on, not giving Leeds a second thought.

There downfall was going to far to quick it happens to so many teams. They spend a fortune to get to the top.Pay top wages ,then when things start to go wrong, you are left with players who havent got the fight in them, and just want to swop clubs,or sit inthe reserves taking a wage that is draining the club. When all goes pair shaped its the fans that suffer,so no i dont think it will be a great day-It just lets all english fans know how rich clubs have to be to survive in the premier,to get to the top and stay there.

Don't know why they're so hated by a lot of people , but they are. I won't care if they go down, and if they do you could see them playing non league football in three or so years time.

It will most definitely be a joyous day. It'll be made even better by the fact Ken Bates and Dennis Wise will have overseen it.

Actually it shouldn't be. Their history can put them up to being around the 12th best team in England. They were almost promoted last year. They are a good team, good history - just waiting for the next era.

I think it would be very sad, its terrible to see a, once great club drop to the standard they have, hopefully they will turn it around, this seasons not over yet and with the fan base they have they will one day become again the great club they once were....(celtic fan)
