The Best Way To Obtaining Celebrity Autographs?

Does anyone know the best way to obtain autographs from movie stars? About 2 years ago, I sent about 15 letters to several movie stars and have only received 1 back. THANKS LEA THOMPSON!!! Does it usually take so long to receive them, or are the other 14 just a lost cause? None have been "return to sender." I was just wondering why I haven't gotten at least a few more back. I sent all of them with postage paid, return addressed envelopes. The letters I wrote were short, easy to read and contained nothing but a brief thanks for the role they played. I asked nothing personal nor did I offer any personal information about me. The address' I mailed them off to came from a well known site which list's their addreses. Some of the people I requested them from were: Ally Sheedy, Mary Stewart Masterson,Charlize Theron,Christina Ricci,Eric Stoltz,Molly Ringwald ,Keifer Sutherland,Shannon Elizabeth,Tara Reid,Alyson Hannigan,Chris Klein,Clay Aiken,Kelly Clarkson and Lou Diamond Phillips.

I think it's possible that most of the stars don't even know you sent them. The site you saw with the addresses are not the actual residences of the stars. I think that's just where they get fan mail. Tons of people probably write to them so it may take a lot longer to recieve a response. If it's been 2 years I would try again. I've seen some stars in person and they will not even give autographs.
Also, some stars will autograph a picture, then it's massed produced to sell. They can make more money that way.

do you know how many letters that people like that get?
it takes most of them over 5 years to get through alot and then they have to start all over again...so dont fret...just keep trying and hope they get back to you
