It is a great movie. It really shows you the depth of its characters. There are so many twists and surprises to keep you guessing what will happen next. Great performances by all. Great suspense. Great movie.

The Departed is a very good movie. There are so many plot twists
and I was kept guessing what was going to happen next that I enjoyed watching this movie. The actors preformed with excellence. This was the best remake that I have seen in the threatre in the last year. The Departed is a 2006 Academy Award-winning film directed by Martin Scorsese, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin, and Ray Winstone. A remake of the popular 2002 Hong Kong crime thriller Infernal Affairs by Andrew Lau and Siu Fai Mak, the film's screenplay was adapted by William Monahan from the original script written by Felix Chong and Siu Fai Mak.
I think it joins a bunch of movies as one of the greatest ever. I can not call the #1 movie of all time. Look it would have to be better than Star Wars, Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, Citizen Kane, Lawrence of Arabia, How Green Was My Valley, and the Godfather.

I'd have to say nah. It is really very good, but there are better films. Lots!
Try Apocalypse Now!, or Goodfellas. These are some fantastic films. The Departed in my honest opinion was great, but seemed to almost try too hard to live up to the standards of the aforementioned films. Never quite getting there. Otherwise very good film.

Its a very good movie because the movies that have came out of late have all been re-makes or sequels to other movies. Its good that there was a movie made that was orginal for once.
