soon to purchase a macbook....difference in price from 80 gig to 120 is $200....how much of a difference will this make, and what will it influence......thanks, any other input on macs would be great since this will be my first mac product (ps, i'm waiting for leopard)

It depends on what you are going to do with it. If you are simply using it for email/banking/minor documents, then 80gb will be more than enough, but if you are looking at storing videos or music on there, and you don't want to go for the external drive option (which I prefer as they are easier to upgrade and are portable etc...) then perhaps the 120 is for you. Mind you, a $200 difference is not worth it to me.

Depending on how much storage you plan to use, $200 for an extra 40GiB is not justified. You would be better off getting the 80GB. Then, $200 could get you a 300+GiB HDD to add, or an external for data storage/backup.

It depends on what you are doing with it - if its video, get the bigger drive. Also, drives can be replaced with bigger (and faster) ones later.
