Do we respect America? Is it cool? Has Bush, Iraq or fat people tainted our view of the nation?

If you don't like America, do you still eat McDonalds, drink Coke or Bud and shop at Gap?

If you do like America, what is it in particular that appeals to you?

I love America & I have always found the American people to be very nice people whenever I've visited. Infact, given the chance I'd move to California or New York tomorrow!

We as a nation are heavily influenced by America - we embrace their culture & their ideas - from hip-hop to Starbucks, tv shows & movies - the list goes on.

How can we possibly slate America over Iraq when we are so heavily involved ourselves?

Isn't it a bit ironic that whilst people associate American people with being a nation of fatties more and more Brits are being classed as clinically obese? And yes, George Bush is a muppet, but is Tony Blair really that much better??

I'm a young British Muslim, I love the American way of life and it's beautiful people. I love watching American TV programmes like Lost and Ugly Betty, I love Coca Cola and Gap (which I think is part of Banana Republic?).

Anyway, the only thing I disagree with is American foreign policy and the attitude some Americans have towards people of different religions and races.

actually, some brits think americans have a typical american arrogance coz they're always acting as if the rest of the world isnt good enough. Anyway, I think hollywood portrays a false idea of how americans are in reality coz I've met a few and I think they're very yanky otherwise, they're good.

Age 28
America is boring, straight roads, rubbish cars, overly religious.
US foreign policy annoys people, as does its environmental policies.
McDonalds: No
Coke: No
Bud: No
Gap: No
No boycott, theres just better stuff to buy elsewhere.
It does produce good films.

As a young(ish) English person I love Americans as they seem to be about the only people that don't want to move to our very overcrowed little island!

They think they might be speaking the same language but they have follow their superior Americans even if they are unwilling to follow in their heart and soul in principle.

It's a bondage.

Young British kids love the USA. They love their gangster culture and their shite hip hop music. Thankfully they choose not to talk with American accents instead they choose Jamacian accents??? Britain is f**ked!
