lot of people tell ICSE is better. i want to hear from parents and students what they feel is better. there is a very general misconception in people that if it is internatinal it is better, which i feel is not very true. do other people feel the same. want to know people's thoughts on this.

ICSE and CBSE both are the govt. body. ICSE is harder than CBSE. I think that u should opt for CBSE instead of icse as it is much better & relevant for all kind of examinations ahead.

ICSE all the way. It's much more detailed than cbse. If one compares text books, we'll see that ICSE covers things in a much more in-depth manner.
And don't even get me started on cbse's coverage of the English language. While they study a few short stories in 11th standard, icse students at the same time have already studied William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar and will study Shakespeare's Macbeth. That clearly shows the difference in standard.
ICSE was the first syllabus introduced in India and then it was "refined" to form CBSE. I've been a student of icse for all these years and never had a chance to regret it.
So that's my opinion.....................................

It depends on which standard are you in.In 10th ICSE is far better than CBSE,but 11th onwards there is not much difference,languages are not up to the mark in cbse in any standard.Icse is worldwide more accepted than cbse and so if you have any plans to continue your school study abroad prefer ICSE.computers remains better and of more practical usage in icse.Icse is not a state board.commerce and bio students should prefer icse.

ICSE is not managed by state govt. Its called Indian Certifcate School Examination. I did my school certification in ICSE for high school and state board for higher secondary and my suggestion is for ICSE.
I aso request people to post informations only if you're sure about what you discuss.
ICSE is the highest level of certification in Indian Standard.

CBSe is managed by central boarb, or u can say central govt.
where as icse is managed by state govt.
and CBSeis accepted worldwide.

cbse starndards are higher than icse. icse is taken care by state govt and cbse by central govt.
