Hi, my husband get a trapped nerve a lot in his neck, at first he had physiotherapy, then heat treatment.
But it did not make any difference to him, now the doctor just gives him anti infantries.
It can take him up to 6 weeks to get recovered, but on average about two weeks.
Be careful with the deap heat sprays and gels as a lot of them you can not use on your neck, so it is best to read the label before spending your money on them.

The length of time it takes to recover is variable and will depend on things like your posture, if you are doing things to help it and if you smoke. The good news is that the majority of people will eventually get better but for some it can take a long time. Symptoms can often be helped by getting the appropriate advice so getting your GP to refer you to your nearest physiotherapy department might help.

Consult your specialist. I wouldnt recommend taking any sort of medication unless prescribed. Physiotherapy will work best to free the nerve. I guess it should take a maximum of 6 weeks to heal, but Im not sure. But it really depends on how you respond to you therapy. Good luck and hope you get well soon.

I can't hazard a guess but will recommend that you try Rescue Remedy Drops, Cream or Spray (depending on availability, location etc.) for a few days. It is always a good idea to seek medical help for such problems, but then you would not have posted this question without sufficient reason.
