A nice Sunday go to church outfit would be nice.

It depends on many things.

Is this a morning, afternoon or evening wedding?

Is it a (casual beach), informal, semi-formal or formal wedding?

Where will the ceremony be? and the reception?

What will the location be like - outdoors at the beach or in a garden?

Is it at a church or other special event location?

you need some answers before you can decide what to wear.

A wedding guest can usually wear their Sunday best dress or suit to an informal wedding.

If you don't wear dresses or suits - it's time to get shopping.

Check out the online stores first to get some ideas - like JC Penney's, Macy's, Alfred Angelo Bridal, David's Bridal, - then you have to go try some on - (I prefer jeans and a tee, myself!)

Wedding guest style for her (from fashion.about.com)
Informal Daytime: Short dress or suit (business attire OK for morning weddings)

Informal Evening: Cocktail dress

Semi-Formal Daytime: Short dress or suit

Semi-formal Evening: Cocktail dress

Formal Daytime: Short dress or suit. Hats and gloves optional.

Formal Evening or Black-Tie: Long or dressy short cocktail (beading, glam accessories, wrap)

Ultra-formal or White Tie: Long gown, extra glitz (furs, diamonds, etc.)

Do use good judgment if the invitation doesn't specify the formality of the event. A pastel suit or soft floral dress for daytime or a little black dress for evening (after 6 p.m.) will take you almost anywhere.

Buy a basic pair of black slacks, pumps and a nice blouse. Pair it with a simple handbag (black is safe).

Or if you can wear a dress, just get a light colored dress (don't wear a black dress to a wedding) like a prom dress. Make sure you get something simple and not to elaborate. The effect you want to aim for is that you cared enough to dress well but that you still acknowledge that the bride is the star of the show. So don't upstage her. Dress should be calf length since it's a formal occassion. Necklines should be decent and not too low. Wear discreet jewelry and tie your hair back neatly if you don't want to bother with getting it done.

You need to give more details as to when and where the wedding is taking place, afternoon, evening, church, outdoors, park, beach and where and when the reception is being held, firehall, social club hall, fancy hotel ballroom. It`s hard to suggest what u should wear if one doesn`t know the details. People today get married in so many different settings, some casual, some formal. Need more info.

You could 1st tie up your hair... and curl it just a bit if you have long hair...
If you don't have long hair, just curl it a bit.. and put a flower on your ear...

Wear A Black Or White Turtleneck blouse... Or maybe just pink or purlpe or yellow colured turtleneck blouse... any colour would do just as long as it is soft colour... But it must be TURTLENECK BLOUSE... (It always save me when i'm supose to attend formal parties)

And you can wear black jeans... or maybe just a long white skirt... NOT Mini skirt...

i'm sure you'll look sweet in that wedding... good luck!
Just remember that black and white are perfect colour for every ocasion...

Usually, most weddings require guests to wear semi-formal attire such as suits for the men and semi-formal dresses for the women. something classy that you would wear to a job interview is a good choice.

You don't sound like you would be comfortable in a dress. So, if I were you I would just get a nice pair of slacks(black, white,Khaki, etc.)with a cute sweater, and a pair of heels. Just make sure you wear something you would be comfortable wearing for a few hours. Have Fun.

It depends what the dress code is, anyway try to avoid Jeans.
A long skirt with high heals is always nice , don't wear white(the bride wears that!).

I think short skirts, coz you showcase more hip and legs, but really no matter both should go great
