Why doesnt anybody think that this is their year to win it all? How many games do they need to win to make people believers??

Until they win the Championship. They were the "team to beat" last year until Miami beat them, so they have to prove that they can seal the deal.

They have the best record in the NBA that's why their the hottest team this year. What is obvious about this team is their hunger to win the championship. They're out to prove that Miami's win last year was a fluke and that nobody's gonna come in the way this time. Also, Nowitzki's having an MVP season while Josh Howard has truly emerged as a superstar. I think the only reason their still being hated on comes in two words: Mark Cuban.

The Mavericks is my favorite team and have been since they have been in the NBA. I watched them beat the Timberwolves tonight. They play a quick, swarming type of defense. If you watch them, you should note that one Mav or even two is always in front of a man with the ball. They will always leave one guy open, but he'll have a tough shot to make from the outside. They are quick, block shots, make great steals of the ball, & they play very well fundamentally. They also put themselves in position to get most of the rebounds on both boards. They are generally injury-free, except for George. They have Dirk, the MVP, in my opinion, and Josh Howard, who is having a breakout season. They are young, hungry, & are excellent shooters, too. If you noticed, they held Minnesota to only 65 points, a franchise record. They lost their first 4 games this season. Since then, they are 48-5. I haven't missed a game this season, yet! If other fans don't like them, fine. But we take fence jumpers and bandwagon jumpers regardless of where you live at in the world. NBA & MAVS RULE!

I think it has alot to do with them playing in Dallas, TX. Same when the Spurs won their championships. The Spurs didn't lead Sportscenter and neither do the Mavericks. I believe if this were the Knicks or Lakers it would be different.

one reason and one reason only... they blew it last year in the finals... when they reached the finals they made a believer out of me but they lost...
they are probably the best team this season but they still don't have what it takes... if ever they reach the finals again they'll again
crack under pressure and let an undeserving eastern team to win just like what happened to a WEAK Heat team.
Watch out for Phoenix they will scorch the Mav's!!! They should be champions!!!

They always fall apart in the playoffs. I think they will need to win 4 in the finals to make people believers

They're hot cause Avery coaches them and they are hated because all of their players are gay. Tim Hardaway hates them the most.
