yes. They do. Historically, it was considered a taboo for women to masturbate. Then society change, and sexual attitudes change too. Now, its okey. It can be for mere gratification of sexual need or it can also be as a sign of protest. Sometimes, its a way of releasing stress... just as how men do too.

This would have to be a guy asking this question! Am I right?

Mate - on behalf of all experienced males - which i can tell that you have limited if not no sexual contact with women, that yes women do masturbate.

Why do women masturbate - for exactly the same reason that men do! Women do have their own sexual urges - why? Its all part of nature - the birds and the bees - ask your mom and dad to explain it to you.

Now let me reassure you that one day, you will join us - the fraternity of experienced men (well, unless you are to turn gay - and then we dont want anything to do with you).

Please reserve these type of questions for your sports teacher or your mom and dad - if your lucky they might even give you a demonstration!.

Back to the school room with you junior!

Historically there is no evidence to suggest any difference in the need for males to masturbate more than females or vise verso.
It could be argued that in times of war females at home, like male at the fighting front, developed closer self sex friendships.
But this was for far more profound reasons than would normally apply, and not only based on sexual gratification.
