i saw a show on Tyra banks where some promiscuous hooker kind of girls (prostitutes), said that they do not kiss the men they jump in the sack with. they sayd that it's too intimate. but isn't it the other way around? isn't sex more intimate? how come they are so ready to do it but not kiss cause kissing is too intimate? i don't get it.
help!!
I always thought sex was the most ultimate act of love and intimacy. i mean, i kiss my dad on the cheek!!!

This concept was popularised by Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman , where she played a prostitute who would have sex , but not kiss.

At the end of the movie, when she kisses Richard Gere , it is a sign of love , pls note she has had sex (for cash) with him before already.

I guess these girls on the show were just trying to be the next Pretty Woman

It's true that somehow sex can be just sex if there is no kissing involved. Sex is definitely an intimate exchange but kissing is more of an exchange of passion I guess. Iguess because you are face to face rather than groin to groin. If people want to have sex strictly for gratification, it feels less intimate if there is no kissing involved.

Prostitutes would probably not be prostitutes if they had normal psychology. Keep kissing your dad on the cheek - its sweet, not sexual.
