What do I need to see video on my pc better?

I have a compaq Presario SR1620NX with a 3400+ AMD Sempron Processor, 1.512 MB of memory. Will just a cheap video card work or do I need a graphics card? I like watching video online and also DVDs on it also. thanks.

for just casual movie watching u can opt for any one one of nvidia mid segment graphic cards or entry level ones....but if u plan to go into heavy graphics gaming and u really want to feel the game then only go for a high end graphic card...but give ur config...i wud suggest a mid segment graphic card.....
