Ok, I'm not wanting to put myself at harm, just trying to make it look like "oh my gosh, what happened this time". You know something like it happened on its own. I know it sounds bad, but its time for it to go.

why not tell him that you no longer want to drive your current vehicle. this way you can sell it and get some money towards the new one. don't just sabotage it because your value will decrease. it's like throwing away a good coat just because you got a new one. you might need to put on the old one so as not to dirty the new one. get a for sale sign because we all no that someone out there covets the vehicle you loathe. it's just that your husband has a "ride it until the wheels fall off" mentality and you do not. is his vehicle in this same type of shape? he should want you to ride in style and luxury in something you can feel good about.

okay this is really horrible but. i used to live in a fairly shaddy part of town had to sabatoge my own car to make sure no one stole it while i was sleeping. so here are some tricks. under your hood are sparkplug wires. usually there is a cap somewhere with approx. four rubbery cables coming out of it and they trace back to the place where you put your oil in. if you mix up the cables that will cause you serious problems. they need to go in order because that distributes power to the car. next-if that doesn't work. buy a quart of oil. and dump it into your oil resevoir. if you but too much oil in then you will blow a gasket-and youll need to get that fixed, or get a new car because its less expensive. if that doesnt work-but really these things should-then your car is indestructable. i have an old 85 civic that needs new rings-and ive done a lot of the repairs on this baby-so while i'm not mechanic, i can tell you from experience what not to do if you still need your car to work!

if you dont wont him or anyone to find out take the spark plugs out of the car. take a LEAD pencile and make really dark lines along the sides of then. go over the line really good. put the spark plugs back in and the lead will cause the spark plugs to be grounded and not spark . also even if he looks at them he wont be able to tell. or u can just let the oil plug out and let all the oil drain then drive it around and the engine will blow and he will have to get you something new.

Sounds like you need a new husband - not a new car...
What kind of a husband makes his wife ride around in an unreliable, unsafe vehicle???

Tell him to step up to the plate or you're trading it in on a new one tomorrow. Then be sure and follow through at your local dealer.

I'm not trying to be rude but why would you want to do that and what kind of damage would you want to cause? Honestly some of those things may sound risky as far as your life. I wouldn't drain the oil because there are chances that the engine will lock up or worse catch on fire. Whatever you do please know that Karma is never good.

if it is a car with a distributor take the cap off and take a number 2 pencil and scribble all around inside the cap then put it back on. this should make it run either very bad or not at all. this is hard to detect.

Stuff a nice size potatoe in the exhaust pipe or pour some sugar in the gas tank. Hey or better yet, switch the spark plug wires so that they don't fire in order. Best yet, do all three!!!

drain the water out of your car and drive it like that till it turns off on you maybe you will get lucky and crack the head. or you can drain the oil and do the same drive till it stops.

add oil to motor, to much oil will cause the rear main to blow and it will look natrual.

add water ( 1 gallon) to the oil and it will look like it has a blown head gasket, or cracked head, or cracked block. there again it will have the natrual look of a blown motor.

Take the battery out and hope he doesn't look under the hood.
