Why Indian Student avoid to choose Scientific Research as a career?

In present cenario majority of the science student don`t want to choose rsearch as a career. Those who choose as a career they migrate to other country for higher research. This attitude damage the quality of research in India.

research facilities are very few in india. and a scientist gets paid a pittance. u cant expect guys with great brains to work for peanuts. this is a question u should be asking the indian government with the bureaucratic policies that it has.

most indian companies do not sponsor research at the universities unlike other countries. this is because indian companies suffer from short term profit mentality where they are not ready to shell out money to conduct research.

Maybe their English skills aren't good enough to pursue a scientific career. Spend more time teaching your students English so they can interact knowledgeably with the Worldwide Scientific Community.

its not the decision of the student alone about his future.....he selects his carrier seeing growth in others
so his carieer is decided by the parents and the neighbours...
if u ask a child about his aim--it will say dr,engineer,IASofficer.
if u ask a kid about his aim--- it will say the same.
if u ask a tennager about his aim---he will say the same.
atlast if u ask a person at his manhood he will say like he selected his carrier according to the oppurtunity available....yes..these days students are AIM LESS

Because they do not get any facility from the Govt. or from other organistions for Research work financially and physically.
