Set up your bulk mail filter. You say the emails are infected. Are you getting viruses from mail? If so, set up good virus protection such as AVG. The website for it is www.grisoft.com. They used to have a free version but I'm not sure that's offered anymore. I bought a good package that's half the price of norton and uses a fraction of the resources.

They may be coming from an infected computer (ie a friend or relative) that has your email address on it. You can't stop them othr than blocking the address the mails are coming from or make sure your anti virus program scans incoming messages and quarantines them.

If you install a high quality security software package, you won't even see these emails as they'll just be hidden away. If you're receiving a steady stream of these emails, in addition to checking that your computer is OK, I'd go to my friends' computers and check if they have virus detectors installed. It's pretty likely someone who has sent you email has a virus on his or her computer that keeps on sending you stuff until the computer is cleaned.

Sadly you can't. Your address may have gotten on a spammers list. So now they can spam your address and try to infect your system.

Time to get a new email address. I recommend a disposable web-based one.. Gmail, Yahoo, etc.

I have to agree with the AVG antivirus. You never did mention what email client you are using? I use Thunderbird for my POP accounts, it's a free download.
