I got pregnant after I quit trying to figure out the perfect time to get pregnant. No kidding! When I finally gave it up, in no time I found out I was pregnant. Trying to figure out the perfect timing put so much stress on me that after I finally relaxed, not worrying about ovulation, temperature, position, etc. , etc. , then my body took over naturally and did it the way I guess it is supposed to happen. I tried all of the tricks! Give it up! It's like when a young girl gets an unexpected pregnancy. She most likely wasn't planning to have a baby. She was just having fun, not worried about anything. That's sort of how my doctor explained it to me. Kind of hard to quit trying when you want something so badly. I was convinced I would never have a child, and BOOM! There she was! So relax and enjoy a lot of "unsafe" sex, the kind without protection.

heh, it took me ONE missed pill to conceive, lol. best darn surpise I have ever gotten.
as far as TRYING goes, it depends on a lot of things. If you have been on hormonal birth control, it may take you longer. I have a friend who was trying for 7 months with no success before her and her hubby decided it was best to wait anyway. Every woman is different. Some conceive the first time they have sex. Some try and try and try, until they finally adopt, then poof! they get prego. That happened to my aunt. I think it really helps to just go about your life as normal and not think about it. Good luck!
PS: spem live in your body for 3- 5 days. I recommend having sex every three days, that way there is always sperm present in your body, in case you happen to ovulate in a weird time of your cycle. For instance, I got prego on the last day of my period. Obviously, not typically a fertile time. Our bodies do weird things, so if you have sex every three days, your bases should be covered, so to speak ;)

Okay well technically my husband and i tryed for a year but technically not cause hes in the army and not home all the time. So the time we did spend together we did it every day a few times a day. And as far as ovilation and stuff well i used the clear blue easy ovulation test to determin that. so i made sure that those days i did have sex. Hope this helps maybe it wont but its just my experience.

I had been on the depo shot for 3 and a half years when we decided that we wanted a baby so i stopped the shot and was pregnant 11 months later.
We did start out by having sex non-stop and i would get all torn up when my pregnancy tests would say negative then my husbands job took him out of town so he was then only home on the weekends and that is when i got pregnant. I did not keep track of ovulation.

How many months did you try for? We really weren't trying...I was still on the pill...I got pregnant during our 5th year of marriage.
Did you have sex everyday of your fertile week? I wasn't keeping track of my firtility...didn't care.
Did you only do it 3 times a week like all the books say? The last thing I would do would be to read a book on how to get pregnant...I wanted to phuck my husband not a damned book.
Did you even try? Or did it just happen? See all of the above.
Did you have sex the days before you ovulated Yes or DURING ovulation? Yes and even during my period. I had sex as often as I could get it whenever I could get it.
both?

Our son is one of the best things that has happened to us. I came off the pill in Sept and was having sex everynight i could in order to get pregnant. And then every month i came on my period i was gutted. it became all i could think about. So in December my husband said that i needed something else to think about and decided we should move house, off we went house hunting and i got thinking about this. Sex dwindled down again to whenever i wasnt too tired and i wasn't anxious about getting pregnant. It was then that it happened. In January i got pregnant.
I'm not sure if it works for everyone but they do say if you get stressed about it it will take longer to concieve, try focussing your mind on something else and let it come naturally........Easier said than done i know!!!!!!

My first pg. I tried for a month and a half! I used ovulation predictor kits, and had sex about every other day, but had it every day during ovulation.
I had sex both during the days before ov, and during ov.
The second pg....I wasn't trying, and was 3mos. before I even found out!
