Very improtant! Its all about passion for what you do: sound cheesy but then it is actually like a game to get to the top- you play in a team with yourself and have a little party when you get to the next level. I would never play foul or jump into bed with people - I work hard, have the right skills for the job and get support and development needed to get right to the top. Be committed to company and the people and you will win. Find a mentor that is as driven as you and move up with that person. Works very well! If you are in the wrong company, in the wong field, it will never work so move! There is nothing for free so first thing: you get what you give so - work on it!

I don't work now because I had a serious accident a good few years ago, but yes my career at the time was important to me, I'd worked hard to get were I was but not at the expense of others, the only thing I would have done to get further up the ladder was to get more qualifications.

The top is lonely. My career is important in that I can provide nicely for my family. I like what I do but getting to the top involves sacrificing family time.

I have a job that i love and by its very nature it will expand and grow so my job is very important to me, but saying that i work two weeks a month and get 2 weeks off, sometimes get bored during the time off.

Yes.I went to university for almost 10 years and just worked hard.I wouldnt use or tread on anyones toes to get to the top.
