You're 13.
You play where the coach places you.
You practice real hard.
Learn whatever position coach gives you.
The position you play at 13 depends entirely on the average size and depth of your league, then the size and depth of your team overall, then the size and depth of player positions.
It has little - or nothing - to do with what you think you would be best for - or what any other idiot here thinks you're best for.
If you get sold on the idea that one position is better for you and you try out for that position and that position is deep with talented players...you'll become disappointed and discouraged.
Play where coach puts you.
Work hard.
You have another big growth spurt at 17...if you always talk to coach about your progress, as you develope, he will let you try other positions.

Wow, you're 5' 10" and only 13? Well right now you sound like a running back, but I think you should start learning to block and become a tight end.
You don't have to be too fast if you are tall enough and have good enough hands. You can learn to block, but blocking isn't going to be that important in the long run.
Also try linebacker on defense.

At the age of 13, you will either be a cornerback or a wideout. You might even play a little bit of safety. This also depends on the team you're playing for. Depending on the size of the other kids, you could end up as a linebacker, but you really should be playing as a corner, or a wideout if you truly have speed and can catch.

I was the same size at 13 and played running back , wide receiver, kick returner, punt returner, corner and safety the only time i got a break was when we punted the ball. Anyways you need to decide if you want to hit people or be hit . (it was always funner to lay someone out rather than getting my own bell rung) I would say safety just because your kinda fast with hands, if you were a burner a corner or wide out/running back. hmm H-back might work out alright (combo running back / wide out / tight end) but you'd have to learn to block.

I'd go for either a Tight End or Linebacker position, depending on whether you want to play offense or defense. You're a pretty damn big kid for your age and you'd probably do well as an MLB.
