there actually is an answer to this, which is yes. it can be by the transitive theorem. if a is equal to b, and b is equal to c, then a is equal to c.

or

if a = b, and b = c, then a = c, therefore a is c

well if a got rid of the little liney bit on the right, and the middle curvey bit straightens up!!! then a would b c!
