Cells are the basic structural and functional units of the human body & there are many different types of cells (e.g., muscle, nerve, blood, and so on).
There are two types of cells that make up all living things on earth: prokaryotic and eukaryotic. Prokaryotic cells, like bacteria, have no 'nucleus', while eukaryotic cells, like those of the human body, do. So, a human cell is enclosed by a cell, or plasma, membrane. Enclosed by that membrane is the cytoplasm.
Cells also contain a nucleus within which is found DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) in the form of chromosomes plus nucleoli (within which ribosomes are formed).

The cell is the fundamental Structural and functional unit of all living things.Any activity of the body is ultimately the outcome of the activity of the cells.
Each cell has its own life.Old and weak cells die and are continually replaced by new ones. The cell theory states that:
-The cell is the unit of function of all living things.
-The cell is the unit of structure of all living things.
-All cells develop from pre-existing cells(i.e. division of the young cells)
