It's your skill /ability/Qualification/Work experience and more over your way of living and standard. It will be the good salary in US or any part of world to have good standard of living ,a good salary at least a single income of US $50k to $60K but it depends on the geography in the US or any other developed country.

In my opinion and you did say a good salary I think at least a single income of $50k to $60K but it depends on the geography here in the US. You really have to find a job that you enjoy with good benefits that kind of helps with the pay issues as well.

It is true, much depends on your place of stay. I've visited many places in US and found it interesting that the cost of living varies too much, even to the extent of 200%-300%-
Before negotiating your salary, do a ground work on the rental rates, living exp. commutation and so on.

Salary depends on your work experience and qualifications. Salary of around 6,000 USD looks good.

Well living in los angeles you would have to make 60 to 70 grand to live comfortably. but in places like San Antonio, tx i would say around 40-50 would afford you a great lifestyle.

good is a subjective word, what is good to one is not to the other. Should be more specific.
But the minimum is 50 to 60,000. That will allow you to pay your bills without worrying and live somewhere thats not a dump.
