Recommended Hotels for Family in Singapore?

I have 3 children 4,8,10 yrs so I would like to stay somewhere close to the main shopping etc but as we are probably going to be out & about all day I do not want to spend a fortune on a hotel. Can anyone recommend a good, clean, friendly etc hotel to accommodate 2 Adults and 3 children?

since u have so many children travellin wit u...my advise to u is to get a hotel in orchard rd area. thou its a little expensive...it will definetely reduce a lot of cost in terms of transportation...as most shopping malls are situated in orchard rd..
slightly cheaper ones are phoenix hotel and elizabeth hotel and york hotel.

Golden Landmark Hotel is an ideal location for family with children. You can directly go to the hotel website and get some deals. You can also bargain for a good deal. You may have to pay extra for another bed for your 10 year old.

I thought that a serviced apartment might the answer, but on reflection it looks like 1 double and 1 triple are going to be the answer at a 3 star hotel if you want to keep the costs down.
