I perfer a laptop. I take my computer with me to places so it's easier for me to have that. When I go to coffee shops or places that have a wireless connection, I will take it with me. For me, it's the best choice.

I have both, a desktop that I use for heavy stuff, making DVDs and music CDs, file server, web design, and a laptop that I use on a regular basis for email, web surfing, loading my Ipod, normal day to day things. Prefer the desktop due to storage capacity and the laptop for portability. In the process of building a true server for my house and take some of the load off my desktop.

It really depends on your needs. I'd give a laptop the edge, however. Laptops are extremely powerful nowadays and give you the power, disk space and multimedia. One decided advantage with PC's is their flexibility and configurability. Hence, I'd build a PC for my own specific needs - particularly gaming. Ideally speaking, I'd own a PC at home to serve as my home server (content, firewall etc.) and then a laptop to enjoy the content as well as internet anywhere, anytime - at home or away.

hi jenna, well it depends on ur capacity to spend. if ur looking for extreme features like portability, effective usage of ground space , then a laptop is a fine bet.
but anything u add extra to a laptop is gonna cost u more. for example , if u wanna add a dvd writer to a existing cd writer to ur laptop, then u will ve to go for an external dvd writer, which means more money. similar is the case if u want to ve an usb port, or an extra bluetooth port......so, think all the pros and cons and a make list of ur requirements b4 ur make a decision!!!all the best:-)

A desktop... Why? Because it's easier to upgrade and allows more hardware installations compared to the laptop.

depends on your own preferences.
or if you find yourself sitting somewhere other than in your home wishing you had a computer with you, get a laptop. if not, desktop.

If i were to replace my desktop it would be with a macbook pro. it is fast and powerful enough to replace a desktop yet portable enough to carry around. but it is pricy. so my answer would have to be laptop.
