Socrates wasn't exile, he was condemned to drink poisonous drink because the Athena's authorities said he was corrupting the youth by the introduction of new gods.

I think it was Aristotle - Socrates was to be sent into exile but was made to take hemlock instead - can still see the cell where he died.

Definitely Socrates but he wasn't exiled, he was condemned to death, which meant he drank poison and died with his friends around him
