Buy a pair of bar magnets. Say 2 or 3 inches in length.
The material should preferebly be 'alnico' steel. If you do
not get it, any strong magnets will do.
Put one magnet on your bed one foot (12 inches) away
from your feet. Put the other one foot away from your
head. Keep rotating these magnets by 90 degrees every
three minutes.
If you do not have the above specified space on your bed,
you can put the magnets on some tables.
This works on most of the days when your mind is normal.
If you are very worried on some day, use this technique only
on such a day.
Put a few grains of white rice under the magnets.

Philosophical? You need to not associate your bedroom with anything other than sleep and sex.
1. Don't eat in your bedroom
2. Don't watch TV in your bedroom.
3. Try perhaps ambient sounds or music to help drown out the outside or hourly noises. This creates your own world as your mind dozes off.
4. No booze.
5. Allow yourself at least two hours to relax. Today's issues are done. Tomorrow is along way away now...
And for gods sake exercise. Play golf... Tennis... Play...

At first try to read story book or check your e-mail message whenever you are not really concentrate into it or obsorverving it and thinking about it or read it until you are feeling tired of it , then you would get yourself fall asleep as easy as like when there is nothings in your mind to figure it out of it . Secondly, as you mention above the things that can not make you feel sleep at all, It is because you have been getting so excited about for that quite long time of it and it might make you tossing it back and fouth the the exciting moment you are doing with you companny or partner..That was why you could not getting your settle down at once and also there is other things you might get up to take bath or also trying to get some snack for yourself of it . If you have unresolved problems you may have difficulty sleeping so learn to separate problems into 2 categories things you can change and things you cannot then dismiss those you cant change and form a plan to resolve the ones you can. If you do not have any problems then I suggest exercise and avoiding food before bed.

Try a banana. They have a large amount of triptofan which is the same chemical in turkey that makes you sleepy. If not try chamomile tea. Make a booty call and a good ole; fashion scrump session. Make yourself tired.
