this is what happened.. i left my ipod to charge on my computer... it still worked... i can still listen to music and stuff... but when i try to plug it in to the computer again.. the computer would not detect my ipod.. i have been trying to find ways to fix it.. but i cant seem to get the computer to read my ipod

1st Gen Ipod Shuffles may require a reset using Apple's Ipod Shuffle Reset Utility. Try getting the utility here:

Apple should have fixed this more officially a while ago, but they've chosen to be relatively quiet about this fix. Maybe they are trying to get you to buy a new one...
