I think the law is, if you're under 18 you can only work part time; 20 hours. What if you work at 2 places, can you still do part time at both working up too full making it 40 hours?

Yes, you could work two jobs. It's just the employer who can't "make" or "allow" you to work that long, so if you had two employers neither of them would be breaking the rules. But, it would be challenging to schedule your time between the two jobs. What if one of them wanted you to come in earlier or stay later? It might not work so well. And if they know about the 2nd job, they might not hire you.

No. You can only work fulltime if you are 18 or older. You can't have multiple jobs adding up to 40 hrs either. Some jobs consider 32 hrs to be part time, but there is a legal limit on the number of hours that you can work as a minor while still in school (when I was in high school, it was 16 hrs total per week when school was in session and up to the employer's judgement during school breaks). Your employer has that info and is required to abide by it.

I think the federal rule is 20 hours while school is in session and up to 40 hours when not in session. It is not per employer that I am aware of. There are also limits on start (6am?) and finish(10pm) times. Overtime is not allowed. Your state or local government may have further restrictions.

If you work for a business that your family owns, there may be no restrictions.
