I have file extension problems on downloaded videos from youtube
I get the download link from keepvid then copy the generated URL onto freshview download manager.
It is automatically placed on my desktop
but it doesn't play using an flv player.
when i right-clicked for the properties
the file type is "FILE"
did a search for .flv files on my drive and the results were that is no .flv files detected.
how do i know what kind of file it is?
it plays using VLC but some of the vids stop in the middle of playing.

hi
If you are seeing the file type FILE this is not a file extension but an indicator in Windows Explorer that the file has not file extension.
With no extension there can be no direct association. So, you have to know exactly what the file's format is.
just rename the file extension from xxx.file to xxx.flv
and run it

enjoy
