In SoCal, I like House of Imports. Fletcher Jones in Irvine is pretty evil.

No one really stood out to me in the Bay Area, but I don't have as much experience with that many of them.

Not too big a fan of any of the ones in the Sacramento area. Maybe El Dorado Hills if I had to pick one.

My experience is mainly in the Bay Area and the Sacramento area. In the Bay Area I'd say Autobahn Motors in Belmont (midway between SF and San Jose) or Beshoff Motor Cars in south San Jose. Both have extremely knowledgeable staff and beautiful facilities. Never had any problems with my cars when they were in service there.

In the Sacramento area, stick with MBZ of Sacramento. Great service and a staff that is in tune with a customer's needs. Stay FAR FAR away from MBZ of El Dorado Hills. No patience, no follow up, and the service manager lied to my face. It's a nice looking dealership, but in this case, looks are deceiving.

A good MBz dealership is one where you can get quality work, service, and repairs at a reasonable price in a reasonable amount of time. A good MBz dealership will not do work that is not authorized by the owner, or work that should be done but was not considered when the work order was written. A good MBz dealership will complete the authorized work in the time frame scheduled. In my experience, House of Imports in Buena Park, (the country's largest BMz dealership) meets these criteria.
