There is this lady that I work with and she smells like she rolled in garbage and rubbed roadkill all over herself. I know that she has a bad home life, and she does not look dirty or anything, but I cannot breathe when she is around! How do I tell her that she smells bad? There is no nice way to say it!

ALL great suggestions, but I have a feeling that she knows she smells and just doesn't care. There is NO WAY that she could not notice how bad she smells.

Wouldn't you want to know if you were in her shoes ? Just be upfront and honest. If she smells as bad as you say, she could have a female infection and need an antibiotic. I would just say you have concern for her health and tell her to get checked out by her doctor. Good luck !

If she's impressive, then be impressive to her. If I have been the stinky lady you communicate of, that's how i could opt for thiings to play out: a million tell me head to head that my scent is grotesque and distracting on your artwork. Rational human beings will take what you assert, as you have mentioned it and not take it individually. In others, make it sparkling first which you haven't any longer the different subject concerns along with her and in fact, you think of she is an particularly impressive lady. 2. If I have not any administration over my undertaking, i could inform you and that i would not no longer sense forced to tell you why, yet i could do each and every thing in my power to cut back my scent in notwithstanding way i will. 3. If i'm nonetheless offensive, i could have no longer something against you in case you place an air freshener in our cubicle/workspace, nor could i've got self assurance indignant by utilising your strikes that could ward off you from being subjected to my offensive scent. That mentioned, in all honesty, she possibly is conscious she has a undertaking and the two would not be responsive to the thank you to handle it effectively or she in simple terms has no administration over it. in case you attitude the undertaking with information that she is possibly afflicted by utilising it already and undeserving of any adverse comments approximately it-- and likewise with understand of your very own rights, there's a answer which will earnings the two one in all you without inflicting injury to absolutely everyone. in the experience that your rationale is organic then your consequence would be organic and that can't injury.

If there wasn't a supervisor or someone higher up to handle it, and I really suspected the woman knew and didn't care, I would ask her if she is aware of it.

Honestly, though, I don't think anything will help. There are a lot of people who like grossing everybody else out. I've been around a couple of those, and it's a twisted kind of power thing--forcing everyone to live with their filth.

Maybe you can buy her a gift basket full of soaps and shampoos you like to smell. Tell her you couldn't use them and thought she might like them. Add in some perfume too! It may cost a little money, but it might be worth it if the smell is as bad as you explain!

You could bring up in conversation how you just got this new body wash and how great it smells and how you just love it. Just "happen" to have a sample size in your purse, so that you can say "Seriously, it's so great! Oh, look, I have the sample they gave me! You can have it!". People feel bad turning down gifts and if it's really nice, she might catch on and get some of her own.

If that fails, try a gentle and honest conversation, but not in front of you co-workers.

Everytime you go around her, ask "What's that smell?" (and have a look on your face like someone had just farted), without implying that it's her. After about 5 or 6 times, she should get the picture.

you could buy her a good smelling lotion or perfume, and tell her your sister (or other family member) bought it for you BUT! you are allergic to one of the main ingredients in it so you can't use it but it made you think of her *make up a story, such as if she told u a story about a Christmas she had when she was a child and drank hot cocoa and got her first kiss under the mistletoe, then buy her something in a light chocolate sent or something along those lines.*

Make up a terrific lie!

I would suggest either telling her straight to her face, leaving a note on her desk anonomyous of course saying that she smelt and could she do something about it or saying when she's around "what smells" she might get the idea without you having to say it to her face.

The polite way is to ask her if she can smell something. Involve her in looking around for something smelly. Like under the table smell the chairs. If she does not identify the smell herself, repeat the process each time she is near you. She may then get tired of it and ask you if you think she smells. Say you are not sure but ask her to check by smelling herself. She probably already knows it and will want to consult you for a solution.

Ask her what kind of perfume she wears, Roadkill, not really.
Ask her if she would need anything like deodorant or Body
spray.I don't think there's a way to tell her without her feeling
bad about it,so It's up to you. Some people have odors they can't help it.
