Fishing can be done on either day, depends on the fish. Non-Oceanic fish (lakes, rivers, etc.) bite often in light rain due to it knocking insects into the water, making the fish closer to the surface and more likely to attack your bait. Sunny keeps you drier but also pending on temperature the fish might be more active or less active.
Fire in a fireplace can be done either day.

Both activities can be enjoyed on rainy or sunny days. Fish tend to bite better on a rising barometer, but not many fishermen realize how good a bait a barometer makes!
