I've been a Bronco fan since Haven Moses and Louis Oliver were stars. This has been a very emotional offseason for the team and its fans. The players will certainly pull together over this, and it should add to their sense of purpose. Certainly, everyone's thoughts and prayers go out to both families.

On the football side, the loss of Williams was huge. The Broncos will certainly have to address the cornerback position in the draft or free agency when it was unlikely before that they would have. I'm not sure Foxworth is the CB you want starting 16 games opposite Bailey. The Broncos would likely have drafted a running back to compete with Nash and the other RBs anyway, but it certainly hurts the depth of the team. Kyle Johnson and Cecil Sapp are in stronger positions now to both keep roster spots.

But that's just football. The loss to the families is much more important.

i think darrent williams will have a bigger affect moslty because some of his teammates were in the limo with him when it happened. including Javon Walker who is reported to have held Darrent while he died. it is also been reported that Javon has been in intensive therapy since the incident. i think nash will be sincerely missed, both were good men who did alot to help the community and the NFL. Yeah I think it will effect them. When it was Williams it wouldn't have been as bad. Having a second player and after this long it will hurt more.
Hey Marty it seems like rugby is more gay by your logic. After all no padding so they are REALLY grabbing the other guy. Yeah I'd watch where they put their hands.

How can it not? They will play on, but will miss their fallen camarades. It's going to be tough. One loss is a freak accident. Two losses is crazy. Any true football fan is pulling for the Broncos to have a solid season. This is coming from a Chiefs fan!!!

I know that they have to be affected emotionally and mentally...But, these are pro-football players..They will dedicate the season to their lost friends and probably play even harder for that.....So many tragic deaths this past year in sports...
