Chief Ministers are for States. They head the council of ministers of respective States. Mumabi is not a State, rather capital of Maharashtra State. Chief Minister of Maharashtra is Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh.

if u read about Indian Federal Structure and the Princely States, u would have known that Mumbai is now just a city, not a state. it is the capital of Maharashtra, whose CM is Vilasrao Deshmukh
but if u wanna know who runs the city of Mumbai, its Dalvi Dattaji, the Mayor of Mumbai. Johny Joseph is the Municipal Commissioner

if the government have its way then mumbai
soon will get a chief minister as it is proosing to cut mumbai out of maharashtra to make it a new state or union territory.

mumbai dont have chief minister, mumbai is capital of Maharashtra. Maharashtra is one of the state in India.
Vilasrao Deshmukh is Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Vilasrao Deshmukh is the current Chief Minister of Maharashtra .His dream is to make per capita income of 1,00,000 by 2010.(current is 23,726). lets work together and make this true not for him but for ourself.........................

wat a stupid question??? since when have cities strtd havin CMs?? just thnk wad will happen in india if every city and village will start havin CMs...india is already no1 in corruption why increase it yaar. and we'll have atleast 50 to 100 elections every yr...in prpartation 4 elections, prty will make already kangaal india more kangaal..so we're better off widout CMs in every city
