A couple different ways:

-if your computer has a s-video port on the back, and your tv is s-video compatible, then you can by a cable to connect the two.

-Laptops have a port on the back to plug either a VGA monitor or a DVI monitor into them, you would need to see which one your computer supported, and buy an adapter that goes from the VGA/DVI port to RCA (red, yellow, white)

either way, once you get the computer plugged in, it will sometimes automatically show up on your tv, as long as your tv is set to the right input, but sometimes you may need to hit a key to get it to port to the tv, this is especially true on PC laptops.

Some do, others don't but allow another screen. Vga to RGB converters exist but why that? It is like putting DeepBlue to start with a mere diskette...

you need an S-video cable for the video, and a cable that on one side has a regular male stereo jack and on the other has two jack for video.
both are easy to be found, and are about $6 each
good luck
