You know, I really know nothing about Mandy L, other than that one question she posted bashing RLP. Rubylady decided to answer a question about the "meanest person on Y!A," by lumping RLP, ruth and Beach Bum into the same category of meanest. Beach Bum needs to just mind her own business and stop trying to "help" people that have no need or desire of her "help."
Ruth is perfectly happy just the way she is. I challenge any "liberal" on here to show that you do more to show compassion to your fellow man than I do, and I'm not talking about this site, I'm talking about real life. But enough about me.
RLP is who she wants to be. A full-time mom, with a husband who is fine with her. Anyone should be so lucky. A good marriage these days is hard to find. Maybe why she takes so much abuse around here, people are jealous.
The bottom line, is that our morals do not need changing. Both of our lives bear good fruit. And we do not blame Bush for everything, because we are grown-ups. And I work, and hard. I would challenge any liberal on here to show me they work harder and longer than I do. You work, and its at home. And why work outside the home if you and your husband do not need the extra money? Why put the children in day-care, if you do not have to? Who can come up with a better definition of success than a happy home?
No liberal can sell better morals to us, because they cannot find anything wrong with ours. Not one of the liberals who brought up compassion is in any position to judge.

1. They might not, because there are moral liberals and conservatives. Who share the same morals, I mean.
2. No. Well, not necessarily, you might, but you might not.
3. Yes. Well, I assume you would. I mean, I'm liberal, I work, pretty much my whole family's liberal, and they make themselves a living by working, unless they're a minor or senior.
4. Probably. My mother was an awesome liberal mother. All the other mothers that I know (personally) that are also liberal are in fact, great parents. If you're an awesome parent now, you'll still be.

Interesting question, Let's see.
1. Your morals wouldn't have to change. Do what is right. You don't have to agree with the way everyone lives their life but be respectful of the lifestyles of others. My philosophy is this; If it isn't happening in my home or my bedroom and it can't hurt me, it isn't my business.
2. You wouldn't have to blame Bush for everything but when he or any other politician is clearly not representing the best interests of all Americans you should say something. After all, our elected representatives do encourage correspondence. If you bash anyone, have statistics or facts to prove it and have a possible solution to the problem. In your posts about Mayfair mall it seems that you kind of exaggerated some of the statistics. Here is the lead from Jim Stingl's column in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
Consider this number: 0.0001235.
No, it's not what Britney Spears' blood alcohol level is finally down to.
That's your chance of being involved in trouble at Mayfair, if we can believe the Wauwatosa mall's claim that it gets 17 million visitors a year and about 2,100 calls for the cops.
And it's not 2,100 theater riots or thugs with guns either. The number, about six calls a day on average, includes relatively minor things like shoplifting and fender-benders in the parking lot.
3. If you want to eat, have a roof over your head, drive a car, etc you would have to work. If you had trouble getting into the work force, I would help you with your resume, drive you to fill out applications and interviews, and help you get suitable clothes. However, I will not hand you anything. My father taught me that if you give a man a fish he'll eat that day but if you teach a man to fish he'll eat forever.
4. I don't think political affiliation or beliefs have any bearing on the type of mother you are. My wife is also a Liberal and she raised two fine young men before we met with NO help from their sperm donor or the Government. She worked and NEVER asked for a handout. Given your comments in previous posts about minority youths, I am going to blow your mind here; my stepsons are Black and they are not in gangs and have never seen the inside of a jail. Both of them work and are intellegent and articulate. Neither of them have children out of wedlock or do they do drugs. My own mother is a Conservative Republican and she raised me and my brothers and sisters just fine.
Just do the right thing and learn to love and accept your fellow human beings. You'll be fine and feel richer for the experiences.

I am a liberal and have been since about 1992. And just for the record...
1. My morals have not changed. I am still pretty much the same person as I was when I was a suit and tie wearing card-carrying member of the Young Republicans. I've just matured a lot and I've come to realize that in the interest of liberty, I cannot support a party who continuously wants to legislate religious morality. And I go to church... on a regular basis. I pray and I've read my Bible too. I still don't think the government should legislate religion. In fact, I'm pretty sure the framers of the Constitution were very much against that.
2. I don't blame Bush for everything. I blame his entire administration for ignoring the fact that this country is headed full-speed towards a brick wall and they won't take their foot off the accelerator. I also blame the Democrats for not finding anyone better than John Kerry to run against him last election. Even I felt like a tool voting for him.
3. I work... very hard. I am a paralegal and I work 45 to 50 hours a week for a salary that leaves something to be desired. I also volunteer for my community and baby sit my brother’s kids. Liberals are not all lazy potheads sitting around with their long hair and their incense. Stop generalizing... it's insulting to everyone including yourself.
4. My mother was and still is a Liberal Democrat. She also raised me as a Christian. She took me to church every Sunday. She prayed over me when I was sick. When I needed someone to talk to, she was there not to place judgment on me but to unconditionally love me and support me no matter what because that was and still is her job as a Christian Mother. If you're going to make generic remarks about us liberals because you're bored than fine... I'm a big boy and I can take it. But you leave my mother out of it... she's a saint as far as I'm concerned and the one thing she's not is some armchair expert on morality spewing her uninformed opinions out on everyone who has the gall to disagree with her point of view. If my mother heard you speaking the way you do, she'd probably take a well-deserved belt to your butt.

Beach Bum is one of yours not ours. If you and Ruth and her would like to become good liberal women like my wonderful woman Ruby lady than I suggest that you find a way to get to the land of OZ You know that place where that little Girl from Kansas Dropped that house on your sister. See the Wizard and ask him to give each of you a heart, a brain, and some courage to stand up for whats right and not just for what is profitable.

1- They wouldn't. You just wouldn't try to force them on others
2- "The buck stops here" - blame needs to be placed where it belongs. It's not ALL Bush's fault, but refusing to own up to his mistakes shows how immature he is.
3- I don't work because I don't need to. I made some smart choices earlier in life that allow me to stay home and raise my son. I have NEVER collected government money except when I was in the service.
4- I am not a mother so I wouldn't know. I have NEVER hit my son, unlike some of the "AWESOME" mothers I know...
Quite simple, actually. Do not judge lest ye be judged, love thy neighbor, love not with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. A very wise man gave us these rules.
Using hatred and intolerence to promote religion and/or morality is counterproductive. They'll know we are Christians by our love, not our hatred.

RLP, I don't know the people you mentioned, but here is how you would have to change to be a liberal like myself:
1. How would our morals change?
Well, this would be tough, but I think you would have to become a nicer, more compassionate and understanding person, based on your current Y/A behavior.
2. Would WE automatically BLAME BUSH for EVERYTHING?
Not for everything, just the normal, uneducated decisions he makes.
3. Would we work? Hmmm...Interesting...
Well, if you wanted to be like me, you would want to continue working after earning your MBA I would think, especially when you would have so much responsibility directing a division at your company. Luckily, those years at the corporation allow one to work from a home a great deal- so it's the BEST of both worlds! Afterall, one has to save money for one's childrens college education!
4. Would we be the AWESOME mothers that we are?
Hmmm, based on your replies to earlier questions about smacking your kids, awesome seems a little sick of a description to call yourself. So, I guess I'd say you would have to become even more awesome, going back to my reply to question number one.
So, I think it's hopeless that you could ever hope to achieve your dream of becoming a liberal. You are simply too mean, judgemental, and self-centered.
p.s.
Ummm, Ruth, you and RLP ASKED this question. Your response sounds like you were surprised by it!

Well, the first thing that would help a great deal is to open your mind.
Frankly, I can't stand the extremists on either side. That's why I'm a moderate. I want to see income match spending withoout record deficits,, & I am against welfare to those who can work but don't, whether individuals or corporations. Halliburton & Exxon/Mobil come to mind. I also don't see too many awesome fathers among conservatives, either.
As far as Bush goes, I agree he is not to blame for everything. I do believe he doesn't deserve much credit for anything, though.

1) Maybe you would stop judging people based on their sexual preferences and class status, etc.
2) You would stop ignoring the things Bush has done wrong. It's not just Bush, it is all politicians who allow themselves to be bought by corporate interests, R and D alike.
3) Depends. If the factory job you worked at for 20 years was outsourced to China and the only job you can find pays the same amount it costs to pay for daycare, maybe not then. I work and have since I was 16.
4) My mom is gone, but my Grandma is very liberal, and she is the best mother in the world. Everyone loves her.
