Because the pagan people bring to light the fact that Christmas time is not when the child christ could have been born. And it highlights the fact that Christmas like many of the religious holidays celebrated by christans are really pagan holidays stolen and used to convert.
By the way if you don't believe me read the bible. When the child christ was born the Shepard's and sheep where still in the fields. IF they where in the fields on our around the 25th then they would have been swimming in very cold water.
During the time period as it got close to the rainy season the Shepard's brought the flocks home and they where keep in pens or in the house to help keep the family warm.
So the child christ had to have been born closer to the June, July, and August area. September on would be to wet and cold.

I'm a Christian and I've never heard of Christians getting offended when non-Christians celebrate Christmas their own way. It is unfortunate that many of them focus on presents and a christmas tree ect rather then the birth of Christ but they are not sinning. HOWEVER...when non-Christians start saying "Don't say Merry Christmas because that offends me, say Happy Holidays" that bugs me, and when non-Christians decide that a "Christmas Festival" should not have a screening of a Christmas movie becuase it may offend other religions, that bugs me.

I'm pagan and I celebrate Yule, the Winter Solstice, the Festival of Lights on Dec 21. I just love all the Father Winter decorations, trees, and lights that everyone puts up that time of year.

Honestly Christians don't get offended they just don't like that non-Christians choose to make it a commercial Holiday.

In-group/out-group mentality. It's kind of like kids who have a treehouse with a secret knock.
