I thought I'd pop this controvrsial one what with all the hatred Ive seen on this site. Honestly, WHY do you hate/dislike/creeped out/disgusted by/etc. gay people? Whatever reason, religious, social, sexual, ignorant....Ive always wondered what really goes on in the minds of Homophobes. Why? If you don't, then why do you think people do? Try not to be insulting or vulgar, just open and honest, WHY DO YOU HATE US?

They fear anything they don't understand. Hate is an emotion of short comings. I could go on all day, do you really wonder?

You won't get a straight (no pun! lol) answer. There's no reason for hatred. I'm mixed and people think I'm the Antichrist. Go figure. Honestly, don't worry why some people hate you for a stupid reason. Who you sleep with, your race or religion has nothing to do with what type of person you are. Whoever is racist or homophobic has great big issues within themselves. They know they're crappy so they try to find a group of people that they deem beneath them so they can feel superior. Anyone with half a brain and a sense of self worth doesn't need to do this. There's no excuse for hate, don't try to find a rational answer, there isn't one.

It bothers me when people say that they hate gays because they don't understand. I don't understand being attracted to the same sex but gay people don't understand why I'm attracted to the opposite sex. I've have never met a gay person that I didn't like but I dislike so many straight people. The people that hate you are not worth a second of your time, try to stay focused on the people who will like & accept you for who you are. I find that I'm very comfortable in the gay section even though I'm straight because I don't get judged like in the religious & culture sections

Hon, I am a straight female and I AM on your side, but the only answer that I can offer you is because the haters and the bigots are sad lonely people who have to blame someone for why they are so sad and lonely. They can't love or accept anybody else because they can't even accept their own selves. Also they have been trained by their parents to hate and they feel save in their small little worlds, just pitty them because that is all we can do. Until they start to love themselves they can't love anyone or anything.

Make the question "Why do people hate?" That covers everyone who is different in some way. It is not only homosexuals who are on the receiving end of hatred although we get our share. Most of the antagonism I receive comes from fundamentalist so-called christians.

Well, I'm not a homophobe, myself, but the best explanation I've seen is that they are uncomfortable & insecure with their own sexuality.

Why does anyone hate anyone? Selfishness, misunderstanding, the media giving us the wrong impressions? Hard question to answer

I'm sure youse guise heard this trite line before, but - as long as you don't make moves on non-gay dudes then I think any straight dude wouldn't mind hanging out with u

They are scared of what they have hiding in them.
We can be scared of all kinds of things but what is in ourselves scares us more.
Its the same with everyone
