The problem started on May 19, 1974 the day they won the first Stanley Cup. That gave Ed Snider the idea that the Broad Street Bullies style of play was here to stay. He has stubbornly refused to adapt to the new NHL and that culminated not only in sacking his own son Jay more than a decade ago, but in the firing of the best coach in hockey, Ken Hitchcock.
I've supported this team since that day (5-19-74) and have been disappointed too often to believe any longer that the Flyers will ever get their third Stanley Cup as long as "Mr. I Love The 70's" is still running the team.

Maybe if some of the players that are getting paid the big bucks would step up and start playing like they should be they would be a much better team. It didn't help that Foresberg spent most of the season searching for the right skate only to finally find it just as he was leaving. Everybody likes to jump on Bobby Clarke saying he is the root of all evil but if the players would just play and stop crying and start earning the big bucks they are getting the Flyers would be in a better position than they are currently in.

I agree with always. Mike Richards really needs to step up as a leader of the team. And I almost feel sorry for Gagne, he's doing the best he can on a team that is pretty bad. Their goaltenders arn't *that* bad, thought their stats may show it. Overall, nothing's gone right for the Flyers this year. Forsberg was hardly there, and the whole year they havn't been playing well. I really like the Flyers and see some potential, and hopefully Upshall, or others will show it.

It replaced into Ed Snider's sister Phyllis who ended up naming the gang while she reported Flyers on a return trip from a Broadway play.[15] Ed knew right now it may be the triumphing call, because of the fact it captured the fee of the interest and went properly phonetically with Philadelphia. On August 3, 1966, the gang call replaced into introduced.[15] Of the 11,000 ballots won, greater desirable than one hundred chosen Flyers because of the fact the gang call and have been entered right into a drawing to decide on a winner. In a Nut Shell?
Years of bad moves by Bobby Clarke have left them limping and barely playing at an NHL Level.
Sinden did the same thing to Boston.

Two words - Bobby Clarke.
Time for the Flyers to shove him out the door. He still thinks this is the 1970's.

Their stars haven't shown up. Mike Richards needed to play a much bigger role this year. Gagne is doing well, but needs to play better.
