Stretch marks are scars caused by rapid weight gain in inelastic skin, faulted at hereditary and/or years of poor dieting. Because they are scars, they will be there until you die. But, they can be made less noticeable... on some people with certain lotions and creams. It may turn them from red or brown to silver, and make the indentation seem less.... well, denty. I would go ahead and try it. There's nothing to lose except a few bucks, and even if it doesn't work for you, cocoa butter still smooths the skin and is great for arms and legs.

Yes, it is true that cocoa butter helps. Thing is, it helps PREVENT stretch marks. Keep using it if you don't want to get new ones. As for the ones you already have....they won't get worse... but the cocoa butter will only make them shiny. It isnt' a fading cream. There are creams make to specifically target stretch marks, though I don't know how well they work.
Hope this helps.

I'm sorry but no. Cocoa butter can not get rid of stretchmarks. It should be used during pregnancy to keep the skin supple and able to expand without stretching the skin too tightly. There is no magic cream that will make them go away. However you can make them less noticeable by getting a tan or wearing makeup to cover up.Or you could have microdermabrasion that 'sands' the skin smooth or laser treatments. If they are very wide, I've heard of doctors cutting the 'scar' out and sewing your skin back but of course it would leave a scar just not as noticeable.Good luck and may you learn to live with them like the rest of us. lol In time they will fade and may be barely noticeable which cream treatments tout as their magic potion.

My grandmother swears by Ponds cold cream and cocoa butter, alternately. She's in her 80s and her skin looks better than most women I meet in their 50s. I'd say she's onto something!

yeah it does work. it worked for my aunt after she had her baby. but it takes time and you should put it on at least once a day. you should make sure it is pure cocoa butter like the kind that comes in a stick.

No, but they help reduce the appearance of "Angel Scratches" by making them appear more silvery. The actual stretch marks are there until after you die.

Vitamin E oil and Mederma scar cream are also good.

Find pure Vitamin E extract. My aunt was very heavy after having two kids. She lost like 200 pounds and had stretch marks on EVERYTHING. She used pure Vitamin E and they're barely noticable.

I have used it on my breasts when I had stretch marks and it worked pretty well. It didn't take them completely away but it made them a lot less noticable. I used it daily, sometimes twice a day.
