Go to a Dr. ASAP.
I will tell you why, this just happen to me a similar sit. I was at work walking a dog on a dangerous hill the dog saw something dragged me down the hill, my ankle felt weird next day swollen by 3rd day I had to go into ER couldnt put pressure @ all thought it was broken, got crutches, eventually found out it's a partially torn achilles tendon & I thought it was only a spain, I'm in physical therapy so it doesn't turn weird or I walk funny, believe me it's been alot of Dr. & pain but the Orthopedic Dr. said these are consider sports injuries & can take a yr & half to -completly heal properly.I also have to do exercise daily at home & I have seen some improvement on pain ect.
Incidentally I have filed a lawsuit against them after the animal hospital conviently fired me.
Good luck, your health is always worth the price of a doctors bill.

If your foot is pointing at a different angle now, you almost certainly broke it. You really should have seen a doctor when it happened instead of letting it heal when the fracture was never properly set. You're lucky you got away with some weakness instead of nerve damage from the nerves pressing against the bone. You should definitely see a doctor to find out if anything can be done for it, as it may cause you problems in the future. The longer you wait the less likely you will be of getting a solution.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

I'm actually really surprised you're parents didn't do anything, because now I think your ankle might be really messed up, and they could probably only fix it through surgery now...

To properly answer this question, please make an appt. with your dr. asap, and ask for a referral to an orthopedist. That is the best way to find out what to do, or not do. Take care.

you've probably already permanently damaged it, but if you have insurance, you should go see a doctor.
