I'm looking for the name of that thing that sits on a table and holds your book open, leaving your hands free.

I've seen people using them in cafes recently. The ones I've seen are metal--they look like a very thick silver-coloured wire. The stuff they use for bathroom soap caddies.

If someone could tell me what they're called I'd really appreciate it. It's driving me crazy!

I can't think of the name either but if you want one you might be able to find them at a kitchen supply store. Someplace that sells cookbooks because people who are cooking use them a lot so their hands can be free.

I think you can get them with lights. Try Ottakers, Waterstones, or book specialists, or maybe a good Superstore.
