My laptop is overheating and smells like something is burning. It's only a year old and out of warranty. The battery is overheating but even when i remove that and when i use a cooling platform it's still hot. Any suggestions?

Laptops can not be repaired by just any bozo that claims to repair computers and you need to get your Laptop looked at now. It sounds to me like an over heated battery may have fried something and before it gets any worse take it to someone who knows what they are doing and get it looked at now before there is any further damage. I say this because if your efforts to cool it have not stopped that electric burning smell then something is fried or is starting to fry.

Clean the cooler here is a link on how to do that.http://www.instructables.com/id/E1X0RYMJ8FEPH677C6/
If that doesn't work try this program http://www.majorgeeks.com/CPU_Eat_n_Cool_d3898.html
Turn it off NOW before you burn your CPU.
